Why We Exist

Where This Began

Sirirat was founded on a simple but urgent question: what happens to the talented young people that conventional education leaves behind? Our answer became a programme.

The Problem Worth Solving

A Gap That Conventional Schools Weren't Closing

Thailand has millions of young people — aged 15 to 19 — from disadvantaged backgrounds: rural poverty, hill tribe and ethnic minority communities, and those affected by crime, violence, or other vulnerabilities. For these young people, the pathways offered by conventional academic schooling are often inaccessible, irrelevant, or simply not designed with them in mind.

Existing vocational schools frequently lack real industry partnerships, qualified instructors with current professional experience, and the kind of hands-on immersion that produces graduates employers actually want to hire.

The founding team of Sirirat — led by Chairman Marcel Jahnke of the Asian Academics Foundation — saw a different path. Rather than replicate what wasn't working, they looked abroad to a model proven over decades in Germany: a dual education system where young people train inside real professional environments, learning by doing rather than learning to prepare.

The result is a 3-year vocational programme built around three professions with strong and growing demand across Thailand and Southeast Asia: Regenerative Farming, Fine Dining, and Hospitality Management.

The Model

Learning by Doing — The German Dual System

Germany's Berufsausbildung — dual vocational education — is one of the most successful youth employment systems in the world. Its core principle is that learning is most effective when it happens in the real workplace, alongside real professionals, doing real work.

At Sirirat, we adapted this model for Thailand's professional context — combining deep practical immersion with structured classroom time. Business English is the main teaching language, preparing graduates for careers in international-facing industries across Southeast Asia.

Every student also undertakes Fitness and Muay Thai training — building physical fitness, positive mindset, cultural connection, and self-confidence. We believe a strong body and a disciplined mind are inseparable from professional excellence.

Milestones

The Road Ahead

Sirirat is launching in 2026. Here is how we plan to grow — deliberately, and with quality always ahead of scale.

2026
Foundation & Programme Design
Academy formally established. Curriculum finalized, partner facilities secured — Kiku Farm (Chiang Rai), Green Garden Farm (Chiangmai), KUMA Restaurant, and SamSam Resorts (Phang Nga). Faculty recruited.
2026 / 2027
First Cohort — 10 Students
Recruitment of the inaugural cohort of 10 students for Year 1. All students begin with the foundational Regenerative Agriculture programme at Kiku Farm (Chiang Rai) and Green Garden Farm (Chiangmai).
2027 / 2028
Specialization Tracks Begin
Year 1 cohort enters Year 2 and selects their specialization: Agriculture Professional, Fine Dining Chef, or Hospitality Manager. Training shifts to KUMA Restaurant and SamSam Resorts for specialist students.
2028 / 2029
First Graduates Certified
First cohort completes the 3-year programme and sits final examinations (Theory 50% + Practical 50%). Graduates earn industry-recognized vocational certifications. Decision made on expanding class size to maximum 20 per year.
2029 / 2030
Target Capacity: 30–40 Students
Reach initial target capacity of 30–40 students across all three years. Evaluation of Phase II expansion potential to other Southeast Asian countries. Class size decision finalized based on quality outcomes and facility capacity.
Phase I — Launching 2026

Be Part of the First Cohort

We are recruiting 10 students for the inaugural 2026/2027 cohort. Applications go through a sequence of interviews, written examinations, and assessments of attitude, language, and critical thinking potential.
